Seasons Greetings Families!

I hope this finds you enjoying some family and fun at the most wonderful time of the year!

Last week included two wonderful events that I would like to highlight:

In May of 2024, the now 5th grade class participated in a Friends of Merry Meeting Bay and Piti Theater experience during which they explored and enacted life in historic Richmond for a film production. What seemed at the time a mere fun learning activity for students turned out to be so much more! At the online film premier last Wednesday evening, those of use in attendance were amazed at the final production and at the students' acting! I encourage you to watch Our Town: Adventures in Richmond's History and see for yourself! Thanks to teachers John Libby and Taylor Maloney for the work they did to bring this experience to students and see them through the project last spring! Thanks also to the community members who donated the vintage clothing that lent authenticity to the film and the experience!

The same students who performed in the production last spring showed off their musical talents last week during the Winter Wonderland Concert, along with their 4th grade peers. The band and choral performances were excellent. Bravo Music Teacher Shively, Band Director Solarzano, and students for a wonderful concert! And thanks to all the family members who were able to attend on Friday! You can see many photos of the performance in the Bobcat Sightings video below. Unfortunately, I can't include the actual songs being performed due to copyrights. Still, I think the spirit and magic of the concert come through in the photos.

Our last week before vacation will feature the Holiday Bazaar on Monday and the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers performing The Grinch on Thursday. For the Bazaar, students can purchase two gifts for loved ones for the small price of a dollar! We will supply the dollar for any child who doesn't have one.

As we race toward vacation and the holidays, with all the usual hustle and bustle, I wish you the quiet joy and peacefulness of the season.
