Hello Families!
I am sending this on the last Friday of the 2023-24 school year. We have two and a half days to go until summer vacation begins! We have already said farewell to our Prek and kindergarten students for the summer.
As most of you know, we had to postpone Field Day to Tuesday, June 11th. Right now the forecast looks perfect! The kindergarten teachers wanted their students to have field day too, so they planned a very special Friday with mural making, a movie, and games! What a great send off!
This week, the fifth graders spent some time exploring the Portland Museum of Art and have been rehearsing for their elementary school graduation. First graders took a trip to the Richmond Forest trails and wrote about their discoveries. The fourth graders are preparing their end-of-year portfolios. The second graders finished their wildlife park animal reports. And the third graders studied the classic architectural styles featured among Richmond homes.
It's safe to say that the schoolwide highlight of the week was the culmination of the PTG's Pie in the Face Fundraiser! Thanks to the PTG, our brave staff volunteers, our students and our families for this "smashing" success of a fund raiser!
I'll be sending out a final newsletter next week with all the End of Year Bobcat Sightings. For now, enjoy the video below!
Have a great weekend!
