Pig eating melon rind

Greetings Families!

Happy Spring! (I hope you haven't put the shovels away just yet!)

Although the time change had students feeling a little tired and grumpy, we had a fine week at school, ending with a well-attended conference night! It was great to see those of you who could make it!

For those who could not make it, progress reports should have been in your child's home folder on Friday, if not sooner. As always, reach out to your child’s teacher if you would like additional information.

We have a fairly quiet week ahead, but things are about to get very busy with all the spring events!

Enjoy the final(?) snowstorm of the season this weekend!

In partnership with you,

Mary

Bikes for Books: We are pleased to once again be participating in the Bikes for Books reading challenge. In an effort to inspire both reading and outdoor recreation among children, Masonic Lodge 26 has teamed up with Walmart to offer 2 bikes (a girl's and a boy's) to each grade. Students in grades 1-5 who participate will be entered into a drawing for one of the bikes, to take place in May. Teachers of each grade level will determine the criteria for entering the bike drawing. Kindergarten teachers are planning an age-appropriate reading challenge and celebration as well! We will kick off the reading challenge on April 1st! Be watching for information from your child's teacher.
