Concert candids

Seasons Greetings Families!

I hope you are enjoying the days leading up to the holiday! We can sure feel the excitement in the air at school! The grade 4 and 5 Winter Concert was a huge success. Thanks to the parents and other family members who were able to make it today. For those who couldn't, there are a few pictures at the end of this newsletter.

Announcements and Reminders:

Thanks to the PTG Super Snack Squad for preparing and serving this month's healthy treat: gluten free, nut free granola!

The recipe is simple and the snack was delicious! Here is the printable recipe!

Gifts ready to go home: Holiday Bazaar 2022

The 2023 Holiday Bazaar is on Monday, December 18. Our gratitude goes out to everyone in the community who donated gently used and new items, and to Kerry Gardner for organizing and managing this big event! The Bazaar experience helps students think of others at this time of giving and provides them with a chance to shop for the perfect gifts! On Monday, we will have a few high school students as well as several community volunteers who will help the students shop. Students who can are asked to bring one dollar to shop the Bazaar. Each student is able to “purchase” two gifts for a special someone, and all will be allowed to shop, regardless of whether they have a dollar. Any student who is absent on Monday will have a chance to shop when they return to school.

The weather on Monday is forecast to be very rainy, and the walk to the Bazaar in the Bobcat Den (modular building) will be sloshy. Please be sure your child wears outdoor boots next week. We are still running a bit low on loaner boots, but those who have responded to our call for larger boots helped ease our shortage. Thank you!

The last day of school before the winter break is Thursday, December 21. This is an early release day, with buses at 11:30 and pickups at 11:40.

With that, we wish you a weekend filled with holiday cheer and goodwill!
