Greetings MBS Families!
Each day at school, I begin the morning message with, “Good Morning Bobcats. It’s great to be with you today!” Taking a little time in my office on Parent-teacher Conference night to write this newsletter, my thought is that it’s great to be with our families! It’s been such a pleasure this evening spending a few moments chatting with parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and siblings. Many parents have told me that their child “is having a great year.” I feel that as well; 2023-24 has been a good year at Marcia Buker so far!
As we look forward to the Thanksgiving holiday, I am thankful for the excellent teachers, ed techs, secretaries, custodians, school nurses, school counselors, nutrition team, drivers, PTG, and our families for making Marcia Buker School a place where children and adults thrive.
In partnership with you,
Mary

Welcome message from Counselor Libby
Hello! My name is Hope Libby, and I am your Guidance Counselor at Marcia Buker Elementary Schools. I am excited to be part of Bobcat Nation!!! I have lived in the area for many years, and my own children attended Richmond Schools. I know how special Bobcat Nation is and I am committed to supporting its excellence. As your Counselor, I have the privilege to work with all students to help promote academic, social, and personal growth. I look forward to working with students' families, teachers, staff, and the community in making students’ experience at Marcia Buker meaningful, enjoyable, and successful. Please do not hesitate to stop by or call to introduce yourself to let me know how I can be helpful. ~ Hope
Super Snack!
Our second Super Snack of the year was brought to students by Harvest Tide Farm and the many volunteer hands that prepared colorful snacks of orange carrots and purple radishes. Thanks to Nurse Ashley and the PTG for partnering with community organizations to bring fun and nutritious Super Snacks to our students!
The PTG Boots for Bobcats swap helped many gently
worn winter clothes find new homes
on parent-teacher conference night!
High School Volunteers, Macaila Onnen and Husniya Rizolieva
help with the Weekend Backpack program.
Thankful Turkey is filling out for the holidays! (Don’t worry, Ol’ Thankful is already pardoned.)
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
